Mountain Line’s Adopt-A-Stop Program is aimed at keeping Mountain Line bus stops clean and safe. The program provides the means for individuals and organizations throughout the community to formally ‘adopt’ a bus stop and provide basic cleaning in return for recognition! Each one of Mountain Line’s over 250 stops is an important part of our community, and Mountain Line encourages residents to help keep them looking clean and attractive.
Mountain Line encourages community organizations, neighborhoods, churches, businesses, families and individuals to participate in the program, and asks its volunteers to give their selected stops some TLC at least once a week. Although regular maintenance is performed on bus shelters and at most bus stops, Mountain Line simply does not have the resources to clean all stops as frequently as necessary — especially throughout the winter months.
In appreciation for participating in the program, Adopt-A-Stop partners will receive a plaque recognizing their efforts on the stop’s shelter or bench, as well as recognition on Mountain Line’s website and social media pages.
