MUTD Bus Stop Master Plan
Proposed Bus Stop Locations and Route Maps
Public Comment & Board Vote
The MUTD Board of Directors regularly updates Mountain Line’s Bus Stop Master Plan. The goal is to maximize efficiency of the transit system while providing the best possible travel options for riders.
An important part of the Master Plan is update of Mountain Line’s routes and bus stop locations. To do so, the Board seeks public comment on what’s working well, and what might be improved.
Collection of public comment on routes and stop locations began with the launch of Zero-fare in January, 2015, when Mountain Line anticipated growth in its ridership. All comments received as of August 1, 2015 were incorporated into the current Bus Stop Master Plan’s stop charts and route maps. In most cases, those comments revised original recommendations for change of stop locations or amenities.
The September 3rd MUTD Board Meeting begins at noon, at 1221 Shakespeare Street, Missoula, MT. The Board will vote on a proposal to accept the Bus Stop Master Plan. All public comment on the stop charts and route maps is welcome and will be considered — up to and including the September 3rd Board Meeting.
Anyone interested may review the current stop charts and route map proposals here, and posted at the Transfer Center bulletin board outside the Ryman Street entrance.
