BOLT! Routes

Frequency equals convenience. The less time you have to wait for a bus, the more likely you are to ride one. That’s why Mountain Line created BOLT!

BOLT! is a route designation. When you see it on a map or sign, it means that each stop along that route will have a bus there to pick you up every 15 minutes during Mountain Line’s scheduled hours of operation. Currently, two routes are designated as BOLT! routes — Route One, which runs from Southgate Mall to the University and into downtown, and Route Two, which connects St. Patrick Hospital, Target and other popular shopping destinations in the north Reserve area, residential areas on Russell and Johnson Street, and mid-town’s fashionable Southgate Mall. As our most popular routes, it was fitting that we launch our BOLT! service there.

As part of our long range plan, we intend to add increased frequency to other routes as well, as service requirements, population growth, usage and budget dictate. BOLT! routes are one more way we’re working to improve mobility and make the Mountain Line system more convenient and rider friendly.
