Mountain Line Provides Zero-Fare Service to Western Montana Fair

Mountain Line will provide free bus service to and from the Western Montana Fair, Tuesday, August 5th through Saturday, August 9th , 2014. Riders commuting to or from the Fair will ride free on Mountain Line’s Western Montana Fair routes and special Park-and-Ride buses. For those who want to visit the fair over the lunch hour, there’s a special bus that leaves the downtown transfer center for the fairgrounds between the hours of 11am and 2pm every 20 minutes.

Special bus service to the fairgrounds will be provided from Southgate Mall, Dornblaser Park & Ride (at the southeast corner of South Ave/S. Higgins Ave) and the Lewis & Clark Transfer Center (S. Higgins Ave and Benton St). Parking at all these locations is free. Buses will serve the locations every 20 minutes from 12pm to 4pm, and every 10 minutes between 4 and 11pm.  Those buses will also be free of charge to passengers.

Zero-Fare transit service is provided to and from the Western Montana Fair.  Simply tell your operator that you are going to the fair, and your trip will be free on all 12 routes.

All bus riders going to the fair  should ask their Mountain Line driver for a coupon to receive a $1 discount on gate entry.

Commuters can ride directly to the fair on routes 1, 6 and 7, or transfer to these routes from any other route. Persons who are eligible for Senior Van and ADA Comparable Paratransit Services can call the Mountain Line Paratransit Office at (406) 721-2848 to schedule a free trip to the fair.
