Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) Program Established

Mountain Line has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program to bid on federally funded projects, products and services. Firms owned and controlled by 51% or more by women, minorities or other socially or economically disadvantaged individuals or groups are eligible to apply for DBE certification. Mountain Line’s Board of Directors approved the program at the Sept. 4, 2015 board meeting.

Title VI Civil Rights Act

The United States Department of Transportation ensures full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, by prohibiting discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color or national origin in the provisions of benefits and services resulting from federally assisted programs and activities.  Any person, who believes the Missoula Urban Transportation District (MUTD) has violated his /her Title VI protections, should contact MUTD at 406-543-8386 or email info@mountainline.com. MUTD has also developed a policy to assist individuals who are Limited English Proficient (LEP).  Translation services, in order to assist LEP individuals, shall be made available to MUTD’s customers upon request.  MUTD’s Title VI policy, complaint procedures and LEP Plan shall be made available upon request by contacting the MUTD at the above-noted information. For Federal Title VI information, please contact the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Region 8 at 720-963-3300.  Federal Title VI information, including filing complaints, can also be accessed on the FTA web site at: www.fta.dot.gov.

Request for Bids/Proposals

Request for Proposals – Large Bus Stop Shelters, Benches, and Trash Cans

Mountain Line has released Request for Proposals #19-03 and will be accepting proposals until 5:00 pm MDT June 19, 2019  from qualified individuals or firms for the engineering, fabrication, and delivery of three (3) large bus stop shelters, twenty-one (21) benches, and forty-four (44) trash cans, plus additional purchase options over a 5-year period. Federal Clauses and Requirements

Missoula Urban Transportation District receives funding from the Federal Transit Administration to assist with transit operations and capital expenses. As such, third party contracts involving the use of federal funds are subject to additional requirements.

Advertising Opportunities

Mountain Line sells ad space on both the interior and exterior of its buses. Advertisements must conform to the Missoula Urban Transportation District Bus Advertising Policy.
