Mountain Line to Celebrate Service Birthday with Ninja Mike’s Commuter Breakfast

With over 40 years serving Missoula under their belt, Mountain Line is teaming up with their newest partner Ninja Mike’s restaurant, to celebrate their service anniversary in style. Ninja Mike’s will offer free hot coffee and pastries to area commuters this coming Wednesday, December 12 from 7:30am-10am at the Downtown Transfer Center in recognition of the milestone. Mountain Line staff will also be on hand to provide travel assistance and a number of free giveaways to visiting riders.

“After over 4 decades of keeping Missoula on the move, we wanted to thank our passengers for all their patronage, as well as recognizing our terrific operators and their hard work over the years,” said Bill Pfeiffer, Mountain Line Community Outreach Coordinator. “With Ninja Mike’s bringing their tasty local menu to the Transfer Center this summer, it was only natural that we do this together.”

Mountain Line buses first took to the streets on an early winter day in 1977 with four small mini-buses, and from humble beginnings, the agency has now provided millions of rides around the Missoula valley through their tenure, including more than 1.5 million in the last year alone. Ninja Mike’s began as a food stand at the Saturday Clark Fork Market in 2009, before expanding their operation at the Transfer Center in August 2018. Dedicated to sustainable business practices and intentional food resourcing through relationships with local farmers, ranchers, bakers, and other food suppliers, Ninja Mike’s new location offers online ordering, made-to-order, and grab-and-go options

“Public transit benefits our entire community by getting students to class, employees to work, and keeping seniors and people with disabilities active and mobile.” said Pfeiffer. “We’re thrilled that Ninja Mike’s is bringing new energy and fresh-made food to our Transfer Center and we hope to continue this partnership for years to come.”
